At present the collection comprises three main sections:<ul><li>Japanese rare books of the Edo period (including both printed texts and manuscripts as well as a variety of different genres, both fiction and non-fiction)</li><li>manuscript komonjo of the Edo period dealing with the issue of the persecution of Christians</li><li>Father Marega’s posthumous manuscripts and personal notes.</li></ul>There are also a few ukiyoe but at the moment they are not catalogued."
