"pvalue":"日本書籍の貴重書は東洋美術部において保管されている（以前はRyerson and Burnham Libraryにて保管されていた）。<br />江戸時代の絵本は総計で約2,000冊と見積もっている。これらのコレクションは主にMartin Ryerson (1856-1932)氏とFrederick William Gookin (1853-1936)氏により寄贈されたものから構成されている。Toda氏の<i>Descriptive catalogue of Japanese and Chinese illustrated books in the Ryerson Library of the Art Institute of Chicago</i>（下記より引用）は Ryersonコレクションに関する主要な参考文献であるが、未完成である。<br />Gookinコレクション及びその他追加されたものを含むコレクション全体については、現在データベースを作成中である。1939年にGookin氏によって寄贈された書籍は主として江戸時代より前のものである。<br />その他のコレクションの書籍、おおよそ100冊ほどは、さらなる寄贈者により1920年代後期以後に提供されたものである。コレクションには多くの明治時代の書籍があり、雛形本が含まれている。これらの雛形本のいくつかは、<i>Five centuries of Japanese kimono</i>（下記より引用）において説明されている。Louise Norton Brown氏より寄贈された絵本が含まれている。当美術館ではコレクションの全書籍リストを有しているが、未公開のため閲覧に際しては事前の連絡が必要である。多くはウェブサイトで検索可能になる予定。"
